The Department of Philosophy and Ethics in Administration conducts research and teaching activities in various areas of contemporary systematic philosophy: argumentation theory, formal ontology, philosophy of physics and philosophy of computing and artificial intelligence. Our department is very international and research-focused, with several concurrent grants and high-profile publications from four research groups.
At the same time, we offer a broad variety of courses on core topics in philosophy both to students in the faculty’s Administration Science curricula and to students at science and engineering faculties.
Topics that our department’s members are researching and teaching on include:
- trust and transparency in Artificial Intelligence
- digital social science
- methods of reasoning and communication in law and public administration
- structural realism in philosophy of science
- theories of computation
- topological ontology
